Privacy Policy
Yusra ("Yusra", "we", "us") is an audio-first Islamic bedtime app for children, operated by Fahim Bin Zahur. We built Yusra to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what limited data the app involves and how it is handled.
Information stored on your device
When you set up Yusra, the information you enter, such as a child's first name, age range, and listening progress, is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to us or to any server, and we cannot access it.
Information collected by our service providers
To run the app, keep it stable, understand how it is used, and measure our own advertising, Yusra relies on a few third-party providers. The data involved is limited, aggregated or anonymous, not linked to your or your child's identity, and never used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. Yusra does not show a "tracking" (App Tracking Transparency) prompt, because we do not do that kind of tracking.
- Superwall manages our subscription and free-trial experience. It may collect a per-install device identifier, purchase activity (whether a trial or subscription started, renewed, or ended), anonymous paywall-interaction events, and crash/performance data.
- Google Analytics for Firebase provides anonymous, first-party product analytics, such as which features are used and how the app performs, so we can improve it. It uses an app-instance identifier (not a cross-app advertising identifier), and Google Analytics advertising features and ad personalization are turned off.
- Meta (Facebook) helps us measure whether our app-install ads worked, using Apple's privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork and aggregated measurement. This reports installs and conversions in aggregate only, uses no advertising identifier, and cannot identify you or follow you between apps.
This data is used only for app functionality, product analytics, and measuring our own ads. It is not sold, not used for third-party behavioral advertising, and not used to build a cross-app profile of you or your child.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple Account. We never see or store your payment-card details. Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
Notifications
If you opt in, Yusra schedules a gentle local bedtime reminder. These notifications are generated on your device and are not sent through us.
Children's privacy
Yusra is intended for use by children under the guidance of a parent or guardian, who sets up and manages the app. Yusra does not knowingly collect personal information from children, does not require any account, and contains no behavioral advertising or third-party ad tracking. The limited analytics described above are not tied to a child's identity.
What we never do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not show third-party advertising.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not require an account or collect contact information from children.
Your choices
You can clear all locally stored data at any time by deleting the app. You can disable reminders in your device settings. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, note changes in the app.
